Welcome to Athens

During July 2013, I was fortunate enough to visit the homeland of my ancestors. The first stop on the trip was the capital of Greece, the beautiful city of Athens! The culture within this city thrives on the spirit of its people and the iconic structures it has to offer. The monumental landmark of Parthenon is located in the rocky hill area of Acropolis and was built during fifth century BC. and still stands 'til this day. I highly recommend the guided tour that approximately takes 1.5 hours, and explores the breathtaking views of Athens from Acropolis hill.(retrieved from: https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/404)

During your trip to Athens, be sure to visit Syntagma square which is located in the heart of the city. If you love shopping on holidays, the South Side of Ermou street is where you want to be! All that walking is sure to work up an appetite, so don't forget to visit some of my favourite restaurants; Filema restaurant, Paradosiako Mas Grill and Miniatoura Greek Food! (retrieved from: https://www.athenskey.com/syntagma.html)
