Visiting Europe in the winter means we need to rug up. In Vienna and Munich in December, days are around 4 degrees celsius and nights sit at -1 degrees. This means there is a possibility for it to be snowing. Snow forms when the temperature is at or below freezing (0 degrees) and there is a minimum amount of moisture in the air.

Today I thought i'd share some items that I have got in preparation for Europe's cold winter:
- Thermal underwear- preferably merino wool
- Thick socks- preferably merino wool
- Snow boots- waterproof with insulation
- Fleece mid layers- easy to pack and keep you warm
- A waterproof, warm jacket
- And don't forget the importance of a scarf, beanie and gloves!

However, beware of overpacking! Luggage weight requirements for airlines are extremely strict. Check with your airline the weight your suitcase is allowed to be before flying.
I hope this will help keep you warm in Europe's winter wonderland!
